About Artists' Emporium Online
Artists' Emporium Online is a premier online gallery representing professional artists in the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States. By only showing regional artists, we are helping customers find and shop for fine art made in America while supporting local living artists and communities.
Our regional approach provides quality art that will enhance any home and office. Our artists exemplify the best the Mid-Atlantic has to offer, showcasing a diverse range of materials and honed techniques.
Based in Havre de Grace Maryland, we started as a pop-up art show in 2016. The next year, we opened our brick and mortar gallery, The Artist’s Emporium. At 5,700 square feet, including the gallery itself, a fully equipped studio, and office space, we are continuing to grow and thrive.
Artists' Emporium takes pride in keeping people safe during this pandemic. We follow state guidelines regarding capacity and masks are required for entry. There is plenty of room for social distancing and there are sanitization stations set up throughout the gallery.
We are located conveniently in Havre de Grace off I-95, which is only an hour and a half drive from Vienna, VA.
Meet the Owner - Robert J. Buden
Robert Buden, owner and curator, came to Havre de Grace in 2002. He originally operated the building housing The Artists' Emporium gallery as a European tapestry import and distribution center. The gallery began as Holiday pop-up shops in both 2015 and 2016. With success during both of those seasonal events, he was encouraged by many to open the gallery up full-time.
Now, the gallery is full with many artists, who compose a variety of pieces. In the gallery, patrons can find oil, acrylic, and watercolor paintings, diverse forms of sculpture, assorted pieces of jewelry, blown glass, and so much more.
With the success of the gallery, Mr. Buden noticed that patrons were traveling throughout the Mid-Atlantic to purchase from The Artists' Emporium. To make the art more accessible and to support his artists in an increasingly digital world, he decided to launch Mid-Atlantic Artists, a premier online gallery representing art from New York through Virginia.
Mr. Buden seeks to remain engaged with the community and to continue bringing art and creativity to Harford County, art that appeals to a variety of people. He can be found in the gallery to chat about any pieces currently on display!
