My name is Richard Moure Jr. At a young age I had taken to drawing and later studied at Corcoran School of Art in Washington D.C in the mid-sixties. I worked mostly in pencil, charcoal and pastel. Things changed in my late teens. I became my own worst critic and stopped drawing, painting, etc.
Fast forward to around 2008 or so, I started taking painting classes with Nancy Conrad in Baltimore and in fact still do.
I also currently study with Lee Alban of Havre De Grace. My work is mostly in oil and occasionally in pastel. I enjoy landscapes, people studies, portrait, still life, animals and even cars.
I have exhibited with Harford Artist's Association Gallery, Baltimore County Arts Guild, Taylors Collective of Ellicott City, The Schuler School, and Havre De Grace Artist's Emporium. I have received several awards most notably Best of Show 2013 "Pictures at an Exhibition" Harford Artists' Assoc. I am currently working on a website but can be reached through Harford Artists' Assoc. or Artists Emporium in Havre de Grace.
